Hi! I'm starting home-basement-studio -project. I've been drawing some plans by hand, but now I found SketchUp and here are the results included. As I said I'm planning to build little studio to my houses basement, where I have some unused space. There is tree little rooms, concrete walls, concrete floor and ceiling. Room sizes (mm): HxWxD "controlroom" 2300 x 2700 x 3500 "liveroom" 2300 x 2900 x 5050 "vocal booth" 2300 x 2050 x3500 (in plan this room is divided in two sections) Pink walls are concrete, thicker part is 300mm (12") and thinner 180mm (>7"). These walls cannot be modified. These rooms are under ground. Money & time I can use all money what i can get (10 000 -20 000€) for this project and same goes for the time. I try to build controlroom (ready at end of may '08) first then liveroom and vocalbooth is last one. Purpose: I will use this studio for remixing and recording and liveroom is supposed to be my bands rehearsal room too. All kinds of opinions and advice are highly appreciated. Here are the initial plans... (couldn't post .skp 5mb file) EDIT: New image and little bit more information.

looks like a nice plan but i'd add some windows for visibility from the CR to the vox booth.
