Hiya, what's that "chiller" room used for mate? Cheers, Sigert
the idea behind it is, if i had a thru the wall ac unit i could have a dedicated space for it. then duct flow and return from the room to the other rooms and back. does this make sense? joey
here is a another drawing block walls 1inch air gap, studs 2x4, 3 layers dry wall, sorry about the drawing skills but i hope it gives a good idea.

Throwing in some thoughts: _you could decide not to construct inner walls for your entrance room as there wont be a lot of noise coming from it. The booth and control room wont suffer loss of effectiveness, cause sound coming from those rooms will still encounter a double leaf construction in every direction. It might save some space and money not having to construct double doors. _Maybe you could use the cavity between inner and outer wall construction as chill-area. I really do not know if it's effective in any way, but if it were it could save you another square meter of comfort and some money in construction materials. :)
hi thanks for the reply. good thinking about the entrance. the chiller room has to be dedicated to hvac. apparantly thats just how it has to be done to be complient as it is for fresh air supply. my main concern is the lay out as i am very close to pouring the concrete slabs and want to isolate them from one another and the exterior walls. so if anyone can surgest a better use of space fire away thanks joey.
i think this is the best floor plan. if anyone can see any problems please let me know.thnks joey.

I couldn't agree more. Could always switch chill room and booth location if you feel there's not enough space in the booth...
heres another idea that is better but im not sure if i can have the chiller room as the entrance.

As for the entrance being the chiller room, that might be a good space saver. Depends how cold of a room it 'll be. Wouldn't wanna enter a studio through Antartica. Cheers, Sigert Ps. Mind the dimensions on that picture mate...
Could you move the control room further into the middle of the room and put the chiller behind it... so you could the space that was behind the Control room as the chiller room?

hi guys i have been useing the word chiller but just re reading rods book what i actually mean is a exchange chamber with a through the wall ac unit to pre condition the air before being ducted to the room s. sorry if this wasnt clear  . i have to have the exchange chamber on that wall as this is my property and the other 3 walls would not be as the units are 2/3rds outside the building. however i think this may work if i use the entrance as the booth. what do you think. thanks joey.
