Another thread in this category, but i want you guys to help me design and hear your suggestions before i begin. The picture showing the dimensionsof the rooms, the overall hight is 2.10 meters. In the smallest room i want my drums and a ampcab so i must make it not leak to much if it possible during to the hight. I have a massive 32ch mixer to fit into the controlroom. The material in the rooms now is concrete. the place is for one person. Excited to hear what you come up with !

I'm sure you must have some idea of a layout. Care to share it with us? So, you're looking for: a control room with enough space for your desk a mastering room a live room, big enough for a drumset an isolation closet for your amp Does your mastering room need to be 5.1 compatible? How many people and how many gear is every room gonna need to contain? Could you translate this into square feet/meters? Cheers, Sigert
details... details...
Details 120" x 94 " Drumroom height 82.7 The walls is concreateblocks with holes in it, i dont know the english word for it ? they are treated with gypsum mortar the floor is concrete on earth. is it possible to build a near no leack to outside world with the low ceilingheight, im ready to go down to 72.8" lower is not possible. 9.9" for air, isolation and floor?
Hey, that's BRAD his avator!
i think here that is "cinder block" where its a lumpy porous block as opposed to smooth(er) concrete block. i'd suggest first do some measurements to determine how much isolation you need because with such a low ceiling it may be tough to get a lot of isolation and treatments where you might need them. what about the environment around it? below grade (ground)? whats overhead? neighbors? budget?
overhead is my house, to the neighbors its just 20 meters thats why i want it to be pretty silent. The worst for me is the ceiling hight for the width i can go a bit widther but it dosent feel necessary. I thinking of floating, maybe i just can float the walls and ceiling ?
what do you think of Polyuretan Shore 80 0.59" thick and 1.57" width length 78.74" do you think i can use them in pieces to floating the floor ?
not sure about that product - do you have a link to it? in EU there are also other products that may be more suitable for floating floors. couple of ideas on the room - can you test the room to see how much isolation you actually need? move in a PA and do some pink noise and sine wave sweeps at 105db to see how much and what frequency sound is actually getting out (and into your neighbors). then take some metal and rubber mallets and tap to see how much is conducted through the structure. see if you have any common plumbing, ducts, etc. that might also transfer sound into your neighbors.
gAAH the noise was terrible ! will be back with the results ! The rubber and metal mallets contucted in the whole house.
