Hello Everybody, I'm new to this forum but I have been reading this for a while already.
This is my story.
Im bulding a pro studio in my house, so I hired a studio design company in my country. So far, the whole project goes for $50k which is a lot more that what i've expected. (40m2 live room)
I need to get 35db out of my live room walls due to law requirements.
However, Im getting those already but the construction is thicker and heavier than my house itself !!
What i need to do is: Propose to my design company a new wall design idea so i still get those 35db but its lighter and cheaper. So far, they are just thick concrete walls, No air spaces or anything
IS THERE ANY WAY TO STILL GET 35 DB ISOLATION WITH LIGHTER AND HOPEFULLY CHEAPER MATERIALS, etc ?? (35db OUTSIDE the building) I need to reduce costs
Please, i need your help guys so I can make this happen
Thanks a lot

Thanks Lou, I've updated my info. Im from Chile.
I know there is a lot of information about how to construct walls etc, But in my case, I need to isolate aprox 80 dbs? So its 35 db outside
And should be cheaper thant my current design, which is thick and heavy concrete walls.
THey are abuilding a live room from strach in my garden, So its a separate building from my house.
