Let me first say I hardly know anything about acoustics/room treatment. I came here hoping to get some good advice. Room use: I have a room that's going to be used for music production (no recording of vocals/instruments), mixing music. Monitoring. Description of the room: It's in the basement, the ceiling is some kind of light-concrete, very light, more like leca, material, one of the long walls is leca, the other long wall is wood panels (leca behind the woodpanels/framework), both short sides are wood panels. One short side has a door towards the corner of the concrete long wall. The floor is hardwood. The other short side has also leca behind the wood panels/framework. Placement: I've placed my console and speakers in the middle of the short side wall (not the one with the door). There's two big carpets on the floor. In the middle of the room behind the console, there is a table, and there's a big leather chair behind it, back of the chair to the other side wall with the door. Except from that there's nothing in the room. My biggest problem, bass. It's not precise, it's sloppy. It's little of it. This is what I'm thinking so far, I need some kind of bass traps, in each corner of the room, floor to ceiling, triangle shaped made with rockwool is what I'm thinking. I've looked at plans and I'll manage to build these. And I'm thinking a couple right above the consol as well. Then for reflections, some acoustic foam at the most important spots? Oh, btw: Leca is Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate.
Right. I'll read and see if I still got questions. EDIT: Well, I've read now and I still got the same question. What measures should I take to improve the acoustics in the room? My first language isn't english so I'm not sure of all the terms and how to describe all the materials in my walls and such. And I'll probably already in my post over used som terms that doesn't mean the same to you as to me. I will come back, and post some pictures of the room when I've taken them, so you can see and better understand than me explaining. Is this ok?
If you do the chunks thing (wool in the corner), you're on the right way. Reflections you can control with mineral wool behind cloth, 10 cm is perfect. Cheaper than foam. Use the mirror trick: if you see your speakers reflecting from the wall or ceiling, place wool.

What are the measurements of these walls? I'll be the first to tell ya I'm as ignorant as they come, when it comes to acoustics. But having some wall lengths and heights and wall placement really helps to understand what kind of area you are dealing with. What potential areas may need more of one material and less or none of another material. I know people say "put some bass traps here and some more traps there" but does that address the room?
Yes, right, of course. I forgot to mention. Height 220 cm Length 550 cm Width 320 cm
Where in the room is your listening position? To close to the wall will give excessive bass, in the middle you will prolly have a lack of bass.
