Thanks for the kind words gents. I couldn't/woudn't have done it without you (and the support of my lovin' wife, Mary).
Since the pictures I have added a second Akai DPS24 to slave to the first. Now I'm looking toward 48 tracks, can do 96Hz - 24 bit, uncompressed wave recording. Automated console, remote/removeable SCSI drives for recording, 24 channels ADAT I/O into a computer where I run plug-ins, SoundForge, etc.
I feel like I am living my dream. Now I just need more gigs, more airplay and more hours in the day!

If more gigs and more hours do come along, it looks like you are ready for it.
Good looking work man!
Bill! Looking great my man! Congratulations, and thanks for sharing that! It really turned into a beautiful place.
No thank YOU! You were all very helpful and patient when I was asking questions about how in the world to proceed.
I would never have had to courage to even start, much less design & build something that seems to work, if I hadn't seen all the terrific places that the other folks here have built, not to mention all the free consultations I got on my place, and the knowledge I gleened from simply reading (thousands of) other people's posts!
You can hear some tracks I've recorded here, here:

"Big Boss Man" & "Blues in the Basement" were recorded and mixed in my humble little basement paradise! Any comments on the mix would be appreciated also. I know there are just mp3s on MySpace, but you can get the gist of 'em. There are more on http://www.cidyzoo.com you could download.
I am just getting my feet wet recording on my own.
