Hey guys, long time no see. So I kind of left my studio project on hold since my plan was to move to Sweden with my girlfriend, but since she dumped me :( I´m taking care of it again.
Well here is the design I have now, it´s going to be on top of my garage, all the structure things to hold the extra weight are taken care of, the engineer is very aware of them so I don´t think there should be a problem about it.
Things to consider:
-The door is in a fixed position since is the only posible way to connect the studio to the house.
-I don´t have the money yet to put an air conditioning system on the studio so the windows facing the street open so I can get some air in, at least when not recording.
-Space dimensions are 6.38m by 3.5m and maybe 2.5m to the ceilling
Feel free to give any opinions please :D
Cheers

Looking at the position of the door, I can see why this design could be a bit difficult. The control room must be symetrical, but the door obviously makes that a bit of a pain. If you upload the sketchup file I could try some designs for you but I am not sure what to do without a closer look.

Hey thanks man! Well aparently the file is too big to upload it here on the site :?
as recommended last year (or so) - i'd put an absorber on the doors to make them work for you. i might also angle the front wall of the CR a bit to make the 2 side walls appear symmetrically angled relative to the front. use that extra space for bass trapping
Thanks gullfo!, yeah life changes so quickly, it was almost a year ago that mine was so different!. Anyway, tried what you suggested but it took too much space of the room and since I don´t have that much of it hehe I came out with this: maybe if I put an angled resonator at the listening spot ti make it even with the oposite angled wall?, what do you think?, and of course adding absorvers to the doors :D
BUMP :)
Actually I think this is better, what do you think guys?
looks good for me...
Thank you very much, this will go to the construction forum very soon I hope :D
