I've got a simple, small (but big enough) space to work with for a home studio. I'm very specifically looking to gear it to recording nothing but voice (talk radio) and therefore am soliciting for some input on where to begin. I'm open to suggestions both about basic physical setup down to actual gear. I'm one half of a two-man show that has been recording for about 18 months, been both on terrestrial and satellite radio.. but really doesn't know jack about acoustics, studio design, etc. So I'm looking for help. Along with specific responses I'd even appreciate any links to basic reading on this sort of stuff. Without further ado, here's the dimensions of the proposed space: The open door is the main door to the room. The other door is a closet, and the window is obvisouly just a window. THe room has hardwood floors, standard sheetrocked walls by all appearances, and right now has a very echo-y cavernous sound due to being empty... I think a rug of some sort is the first obvious step in the right direction, but im clueless beyond that. THanks in advance for any help!

i'd say take a look at the GIK Acoustics site or Ethan's RealTrap sites for info on treating the room. both will give you free advice on using their (and even DIY) products to get your room into shape.
thanks guys. I'm going to try to give myself a basic education before perhaps dropping back with some more specific thinking and questions. ct
