Hello all.
I have a rehearsal space that doubles as my recording space. Two walls are covered in foam. The other two are old drywall adorned with holes, drawings, stickers, beer labels, and the like. As you would expect to find in a rock and roll rehearsal room.
A friend has offered me these OSB sheets, enough to cover the two drywall walls with.
I'm thinking about doing it, but was wondering if there could possibly be any side effects that I'm not considering.
I'm mostly happy with how the room sounds, but do certainly think that it sounds sort of "boxy" and could use a bit more resonance.
Do you think the OSB could be a good idea? How would that compare, say, with plywood?
Thanks very much. Great forum.

Will, it would be virtually no different than plywood.......... RodHello all. I have a rehearsal space that doubles as my recording space. Two walls are covered in foam. The double-layer walls in my small studio are OSB beneath 5/8 sheetrock, my thinking being that OSB holds a screw better than sheetrock (don't need a relatively large anchor) and I plan on hanging several things from the walls (guitars / basses, acoustic treatment, etc). So may want to think about this if you're planning on hanging stuff on the wall.
23/32 OSB sheets seemed noticeably heavier and were less expensive than the same size plywood at Home Depot, so I figured this was an easy choice (OSB vs plywood).
