Hey guys!
Been reading on here for a loooooong time. I'm in an aweful room, 10x10.5x8.1'. Carpeted floor. 2 doors, one goes to a hallway, one goes to another room (10x8) which I'm going to use for a small iso room. These days I'm writing, recording, mixing, and delivering songs for televisions shows and need to crank out about 1 song a day, so I need the best mixing environment I can make out of this room.
I'm failing just about everything I've read on these boards due to my small almost symetrical room. I sit about 50% in the room (5 feet from the wall isn't very far!), my monitors are just about in the center of the room vertically, etc...bottom line, I know I'm fighting a losing battle...
So anyways, I know that what I can do is mostly place as many bass traps as possible. I'm going to go with the ReadyBags so I don't have to deal with the DIY aspects, but won't spend as much dough either. I need some material for them, and the nearest supplier I've found doesn't sell OC703, but they do have Manville IS300. The JM product I've seen used in most projects on these boards is the 814 panel. Anyone have experience with IS300? Is this an appropriate substitute? Here's a link to the data sheet:

Thanks!!

Manville IS300?

The material you linked to will do fine.
(personal rant)
You wrote that you read here regularly. The post just before yours is
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9677
and a few posts earlier
http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9657
either of which would have answered your concerns. You did not.
Andre
Thanks...
I did read many posts, including the ones you linked, and have seen Manville talked about, but as I said in my post the IS300 wasn't mentioned, only 814. IS300 seemed like a good substitute based on what I've read, but since it hadn't been mentioned I thought perhaps I overlooked something, thus my question.
I apologize if this put you out, seemed like a innocent enough question...
