hi to all!
Here i need help to figure out how to treat my small room (about 15x10x8 feet) i use it for mixing and recording everything (electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, acoustic piano and voice).
I thought to make the ceiling absorbent with rigid fiberglass, rockwool and plaster (already have all the materials and enough rockwool to make a double layer). My first questions are:
- is it worth to use a double layer of rockwool and the plaster?
- could it also soundproof with the floor above or it is not worth anything if all the room is not floated?
- should it be a little skewed to eliminate standing waves occuring between floor and ceiling?
Thank you and sorry for my bad english!

If not, do so.
If so, do it again.

Omar -
I understand that you - like many - are new to the forum. Folks here get the same repeat questions over and over again. Not everyone is "forum-savvy" and know exactly what to do in terms of questions and such.
There is a very useful section for people to read up on if they really have little construction expertise.

Read through these examples and then ask some more pointed questions.
Hope this helps - and welcome to the forum.
thank you anyway, i understand!
