I've decided to build a relatively inexpensive 4'x6' "lite" vocal / acoustic guitar booth using a 2"x2" frame. It will have walls and a ceiling but no floor. On the outside I was thinking 1/8" HDF to give it a little strength and ½" soundboard on the inside. Sandwiched inside the frame I'm thinking either Tuff-R C or Rockwool which is MUCH more expensive. Tuff R-C looks like Owens Corning 705 and comes in 4'8' sheets of different thicknesses for about $27 per sheet. It seems much more economical than 705 or Mineral board. What is the difference between rockwool and Tuff-R C besides a massive price gap?
