Okay, close-in(framing) inspection is on Tues. Must have insulation on site. Question is whether or not to use faced or unfaced, and how to apply it. I posted this question on my own thread but didn't get a response. Search function on this forum does not return specific results. I end up googling the keyword and adding "sayers" in the search so I get results from this forum. Anyone else notice this?
the search function on this and most forums is practically unusable. and anytime anyone posts a question that has been answered before or asked frequently someone says to use the search function in an exasperated way. just ask about quietrock, or floating floors and see how rude people can be. that said, there's tons of info in the stickys about everything, also about faced and unfaced insulation. check the vapor barrier links. if the walls you are insulating are not exterior walls, definitely use unfaced bats. if they are exterior walls, do more research on moisture (vapor ) barriers. hope this helps
tick...tick....tick... Found this through Google search- forum search function is useless- no offense- but y'all should probably stop advising people to "do a search" since it doesn't work....also a lot of reference links are outdated- please check! http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewt ... c&start=15 Wish me luck...
