I have a barn roof that has asphalt shingles and wood playwood underneath it. The Roof is up about 17ft in the live room I intend to build. Will insulation it with fiberglass... then a layer or 2 of sheetrock be enough to keep rain from effecting the recording process? Also will it be enough to stop drum recording from disturbing the neighbors? Thanks, Tim
Is that a truss or post and beam construction, maybe a stick built frame? What you don't want to do is inhibit the ability of air to move in between the rafter cavities. The build up of heat in the roof system needs a direct path to exit the building such as soffit venting with gable vents, assuming it is a gable roof type.
Brien- It's a stick bulit barn with a gambrel roof. Tim
Still applies. Maybe someone will suggest a drop ceiling that you could develop from.
