My boss gave me a 28x30 space in our warehouse area to build a recording studio capable of recording solo artists, bands, small ensembles ( string, woodwind ), and drums. The floor is a concrete slab and we are going to build a room within the warehouse. I have attached an image of a very rough design my co-worker made. I am learning sketchup so I can post a file soon.
Any help, advice, and criticism is greatly appreciated.

Aloha and welcome to the forum! :D
Congrats on your studio build! Any chance you could please:
You'll probably get more of a response by doing so and this will really come in handy two or three posts down the road. It's also part of the forum guidelines. Thanks! Also, if you could provide a little more info on your isolation requirements, budget, and ceiling height it would very be helpful. Aloha 8)Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
I have up to 12 feet of Height to work with. Budget is not a large issue for this build.
As soon as I figure out sketchup some more, I will post a file.
Aloha,
Here's a design recently done by John that could be massaged to fit your space for ideas.
Hope this helps,
