Angling the mixing desk

Hi I wonder if any of you guys can tell me what is the optimum angle for a mixing desk if any. I have an AMEK BC2 which is totally flat, unlike most consoles which are obviously angled to varying degrees. Is there any benefit to angling the desk? If so what degree would you suggest. I was thinking of sinking the AMEK into a desk as it stands about 6 inches high, but I could angle it too if there are any acoustic benefits in terms of reducing mix position reflections etc.. I searched but couldn't find any threads covering this, but apologies if it has been done before. Thanks in advance for any advice
besides acoustics, angling can make things easier to see and access... generally speaking, putting the monitors on stands behind the console will help reduce reflections, if you need them on the console, then having the console angle about 15 degrees will help.

Hi Glen Thanks for the reply. I will be mounting the monitors on stands behind the desk, so does this mean I shouldn't have issues with reflections from the AMEK if I leave it flat or should I still angle it at 15 degrees? I'll be mixing ITB so I won't need to access most of the controls for much of the time. I'm really just wondering about the acoustic implications of angling the desk. Cheers, Patrick
to sound, the desk is just another surface. so i'd still angle it even with the monitors behind it. i'd also hang some absorbers offs the back of the desk to cut reflections from and to the front wall b(ehind the monitors.)
