Hello, I just did a sound test in our three new rehearsal rooms. We definitely need to acoustically treat them. The rooms will only be used for practice, so I am thinking just a general treatment is all... I hope! Is there a cheap and relatively effective way to do this? Rooms are approx. 180 - 210 sq.ft. and they are trapezoidal in shape. Thanks guys..

Acoustical treatment for rehearsal rooms...

The treatment goals for a rehearsal room are similar to a recording live room, and not that different for a control room. Rooms the size of yours need as much bass trapping as possible to keep from sounding boomy, and enough mid/high frequency absorption to avoid flutter echo and comb filtering. For a lot more advice on this, see my Acoustics FAQ: http://www.ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html Then feel free to post any follow-up questions here. --EthanHello, I just did a sound test in our three new rehearsal rooms.
