Studio Design Graphics Project

G'day :D, I'm planning to design a recording studio for my graphics project and i was wondering if someone can 'point me in the right direction. I have a basic floor plan of my studio, that i've designed myself. I have better copies and variations but the're all in pencil. This is a very Rough copy created on Paint. Hopefully you get the idea. The problem im facing is that i tend to draw the same thing just in a different way, which in the long run will help me, just i need the answers now!!! I was wondering if someone could give me some advice as to what i could do, or give me a sample plan which they have previously made. Thanks.

Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.

Hey thanks man, I've done it now so can you possibly send me pics of previus studios, just for the sole purpose of research. As you can see im a student and all i want is for somone to possibly refer me to material. Thanks for your help!!! Mark

I was also wondering if someone could show me the basic drafting/architectural symbols used for house/music studio plans, please. These would help me extensively!! Is there a symbol for sliding doors??? Anyway, thanks. Mark

Ching is going to help. here's one of his books: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0471209066 as far your plan, maybe you could download the free http://sketchup.google.com and draw a simple 2D drawing with dimensions, etc. study the numerous designs John has posted as well as a few of the other folks here.
