Finally! A Mini-Split with Fresh Air!!!

yes it will. But it's an interesting idea and it's good that someone has realised the importance of adding fresh air to these systems. In a typical house it would be an excellent addition but in a studio which by definition is airtight some sort of exhaust duct would need to be added. But it is a cool option for the home studio IMO.
Yes,and I've seen some in the Sanyo catalog too. Yes, they're expensive, but that's partially due to the fact that they're for the much larger units. Also, the fact that they're recessed ceiling units leads to additional challenges in terms of maintaining the isolation envelope. --Keith :mrgreen:

Keith, no it doesn't........... you simply make the envelope fit to the outside of the unit - nd then - although it looks recessed - it's really still in the room - the only penetrations are for the collant lines and electrical - which are easily caulked/sealed. Rod
OK, make that "slight" challenge then. ;-)
The unit is too big and pricy for my needs: a 9' X 17' room. I imagine installation would be at least another $1000. So now I'm back to the Sharward option...
