Hi for all! I would like that you comment the project below. I have finished the construction, the isolation (double walls, ceiling…) and now I come across with the acoustic treatment. In the plant, what is in red would be absorvers of helmholtz, that should work in frequency between 160 and 300Hz. In green, it would be the high absorvers and bass traps and, in purple, more high traps. In the ceiling, I intend to place two clouds in LR and one in the CR, above the console. About the monitors, is there space enough to inlay? I would like your commentaries and suggestions, if it is possible. A hug to all! Eduardo

Small rooms like those will do better with broadband absorption rather than tuned Helmholtz traps. Small rooms have problems at all low frequencies, not just those frequencies related to the room dimensions. --Ethan
Is it better to forget the Helmholtz and to only place bass traps?
its important to balance the room - typically you start with broadband treatments - corner traps, broadband slats, etc. then you measure to determine what problems might still existing and you can use more fine tuned treatments like a tuned resonator or panel trap to correct those.
I don't know if it is an idiotic question… Can I use full bookshelves as a diffuser?

you could also make a template from thin playwood and stack you books in a somewhat QRD fashion as well :-)
LOL, that's great. I had an idea last year to post a template like that as a GIF file, meant for pushing CD cases into a shelf. You beat me to it. Great idea! :) --Ethan
