Hi, I'm moving in my new appartment very soon and the layout of the appartment isnt quite as good for mixing as I'd like it to be. Theres basically 1 room that would be un-occupied (no bed or living room function) but its really small. I've included a small drawing from the appartment as my scanner is out of order so I can't copy the build plans. The room's dimensions are Width : 126 cm Length: 256 cm Height: 246 cm To the left (looking from the top) is a balcony, a door and windows, to the right is the door to the hallway.

Is there anything I can do to improve the sound of the room or am I better off moving to the living room or bedroom? Thanks Robert[/url]
Oops, I think I left out some information. The music I'll be mixing will mainly be metal and rock so I'll pumping out sound fairly loud. I plan on placing a small desk in that room to place my monitor/speakers/soforth on against the wall in the center, so you'd come in and to the right would be the desk. Because off the room being this small, I was wondering whether I'd get a lot of unwanted reflections and if I can even place my monitors properly with the right distance. I'd appreciate if you any of you chaps with knowledge of the subject could help me out. Robert

That's really small. You'll need as much bass trapping as you can possibly manage. See this for much more info: http://www.ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html --Ethan
