Need help in designing a rehearsal studio for live bands

I have started a lease of a shelled property of 976 sq ft (15M by 6.05M) For this project to work i need 3 rehearsal rooms, a small reception, and a small rest room. i am also building a mezzanine floor above using the walls from the rooms. Im am totally lost on where to begin my design. i started off with 3 rectangle rooms. but after reading your forum i have realized that the sound would be a bit of a shammy sound. if any one could help me here i would be really appreciative. yours sincerely jack Bournemouth, England

Edit your profile to include your location (which is in the body of your post.) This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.

What kind of isolation do I require? Luckily i am on the end of the terrace.so I will only have 1 neighboring business which has not moved in yet. i will assume that they could complain about the noise. Any aircraft/auto/train traffic in your area? no problems with traffic that i know of. OK the things i am stuck with are the position of the restrooms. must stay. and all the rooms need to have there own entrance. ( cant go through one room to get to the other.) i am open for suggestions to what size rooms to have. But each must fit at least a 4 piece in. The use of the rooms will be for all types of live bands. from jazz to metal. The hight of the rooms have a lot of play in as you can see by the pictures. Budget is obviously as cheap as possible. but im looking at under £5000 if possible for meterials. budget is still to be decided. and does have play either way. Hope this is more helpful jack [/u]

May I add one important factor to Steve's requests. i would like to bring to a tension that there will also need to be stairs going to the mazerneen floor.
