Hey. Im 17 and since finding this forum have been interested in the whole concept of studio design and construction. I recently drew up a design for a 40ft x 20ft studio. Could you please tell me if there would be any problems with this design? Like I said I'm pretty new to this. I also only first used Sketch Up last night to do this so its pretty sloppy in places. Cheers. Dimensions: 40' x 20' Control Room Wall Angels = 8.5 degrees each wall.

very nice. my only suggestion would be to split the hall to make it a sound lock and maybe get an isobooth out of the section closest to the CR. also the parallel walls in the live room - may be try a bit of an angle on the hallway wall to break it up.
Yeah looking back at it now, I see what you mean. Im looking to adjust the walls for the live room. However, what sort of angels do you want the walls to be minimum for this sort of space to have a good enough outcome? Would this be better?

you could do the walls that way or just adjust the hallway wall a bit and perhaps breakup the lounge into a louge/booth and storage...
