Hey guys how you doing, well my name is kalet, im a new member of this site, ive been browsing for a while getting ideas for my studio, which is only for production right now, i dont plan in recording in it professionally yet, for while, im just making beats in this room. i wanted to consult with you guys on what i should use to absorb the sound and all..... ok i dont know , what do you guys recommend me, some thing to start out, with not so much heavy construction, well you guys know. ill leave it to the pros. imma leave a cheap sketch of the room below and tell me what you guys think. thanks again kalet Ensonix Studios EDIT: just to let you know that i have a $1000/below budget for the project (simple i hope) the door leads to a hallway of the house (cant be relocated) the room size can not be altered in any way, due to it being located at the front of the house, and the closet is in use, so cant mess with that so much.

hey guys whats up, can i get some feedback into this project...
you could search on bedroom and you'll find a bunch of info on that topic... since you're not able to make many changes, you can probably just focus on use some well placed absorption around the room to get the modes under control and reduce extraneous reflections. don't over do it as your room could end up lifeless...
hey gullfo thanks for your reply, i know that i cant go all crazy with my construction and all, but what im looking is for help on where with my set up, should i place the acoustic panels, and if i should move my desk around, because if you noticed that the room is also a bit long, maybe placing the desk next to the door and moving the tv around on maybe buying a new one and mounting it on the wall, idk, can you help me out on that... thanks and i will take to consideration checing out the rest of the forum for the answers thanks again Kalet
Aloha, Would re-orienting your door to swing out into the hallway be an option for you? This would allow you to use the room more efficiently. Aloha 8)
hey kendale, whats up, really the door is not that big, the desk i want to purchase for the design fits in the exact center of the room along the wall where the door swings open. what i need help in is where to place acoustic panels, bass traps or what ever is needed, i plan on using it for beat making only, maybe record some bit, but no permanently, topic open to any opinions or suggestions. thanks again guys Kalet
you could check Real Traps, GIK Acoustics, or Auralex sites for common absorber layouts and even price out the options.
