So I will be building a space this summer and into the winter wich will serve doubble duity as a practice space and a recording studio. The building is being chosen right now and my first question on the whole thing is to follow. The curent favorite building is sitting on a half lot and in between the building and the ally is a Cell Phone Tower. Will this tower present problems as far as RF interference and if so is there a way to stop the RF? More room details and such to follow after the final dicision is made on the space. Thanks in advance.
Nothing? No thoughts?
I have no idea... I don't know if anyone here does... Perhaps you do some drive-bys of the television stations in your part of the world to see if any of their studios are in close proximity to the cell towers. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were cellular facilities attached to the uplink tower in their parking lot (or whatever they call it). Just a thought... --Keith
Greetings Redar, Welcome to the forum! I'm pretty sure someone else will chime-in on your question but just be patient for a response. Many of the moderators are tied up and can't get to some questions right away. I would recommend you give more details on the tower. For example, how tall is the tower, are there any transformers or heavy duty equipment around it, who owns the tower (AT&T, Cingular, Sprint etc etc), what does your total wall structure consist of (Cinder or concrete blocks-plywood, drywall), and last but not least some PICTURES! I'm not the one to tell you what you need to know in this area but if you provide more info the odds are better for a response from someone "in the know".
I cant post pictures as I am not allowed yet to take (the building is not yet owned) them I could take some of the back if I make it back over there. The tower is about 20ft high, the owner appears to be Verison but not sure. There is shed sized structure with transformers and all that stuff. The building is cinderblock walls and wood roof with shingles. Steel beams and stairs inside. Another forum had a guy who works in a building which has one and says he has no problems with it. Thanks for the help. I have read a lot of the threads here and it is all super helpful. Sorry if I sounded rude. I did not mean to. I was just hopeing to jumpstart the conversation. Once I am able to go in and take pictures I will be posting pictures and Scetchup drawings and progress and all that.
FWIW the client decided to buy a space that is already built out. Thanks though
