Just wondering if there is any particular wood that's better for making slats for a Helmholtz Resonator. I was looking into using poplar but wanted to check first.
Thanx!

No Stan, It's all the same (if stable). This are discussions in the margins. Nothing to worry about. Of course you must take tickness wood and slot/slat width into acount but that relates to the Helmholtz principle, not the type of wood.Just wondering if there is any particular wood that's better for making slats for a Helmholtz Resonator. Thanx a bunch for the info Eric!
Camistan - you have two options. You can purchase precut timber in the appropriate size or you can use veneered plywood or mdf sheets and cut them to size yourself.
Bruce Bluebear's slots were made from veneered plywood cut on site.
