Double Top Plate on off-angled walls

I'm not sure as to the construction of the uppermost plate on a double top plate construction for off 90 degree walls. I've attached a .skp. the question is about my interior walls. you'll see i've only drawn the bottom plate of the double top plate construction.

OK + so what excactly is the question? If it's about over lap the answer is yes - overlap the same as you would a 90 degree corner........ Rod
yes, my question is about the overlap. is there anyway you could modify the sketchup drawing that i posted to help me better understand how to do the overlap. i'm not even sure if i framed it correctly.... i still have a lot of learning to do.

What you have done in the drawing is not correct. If you download the attached PDF you'll see - what you did on the left - yu should allow them to lap and then mark where they intersect (intersecting angles) - cut there for the first plate - ands build your walls. When you put the top plate on - you use the angle reversed so that it laps over the original joints (pic on the far right). Rod

awesome, thanks. last night i searched and searched on the internet and found some examples of how to construct these types of corners. along with your drawing, this is my understanding..... agree?
