I like the way you think, gullfo....
  :D :D
My first thought: each "chamber" seems to be the same width.... I would think it would work better if you were to vary that dimension a bit, making different sized "chambers" between the curved, half-oval slats....
This has of course nothing to do with QRD OR poly theory
:D
true but it would be interesting to construct a diffuser with the QRD properties and poly properties that conceptually address the strengths and weaknesses of each... my next model will be sufficiently complex to actually consider the properties ;-)This has of course nothing to do with QRD OR poly theory :D
Glenn,
You make nice designs.
And how should you test, or even know if it works?
But it's a fun name you suggested for the device.
I can't wait!  :mrgreen:my next model will be sufficiently complex to actually consider the properties ;-)This has of course nothing to do with QRD OR poly theory :D
Hi Eric, to truly test it, it would need to go to a proper lab so its performance could be compared to existing diffuser techniques... that said, there's probably some "home grown" tests that could be devised to give a high level view of whats working or not...And how should you test, or even know if it works?
That is a nice design but in my opinion it no longer works as a poly if you built that way... I don't think you can have with such design the both of the two worlds.
But like Eric said, ain't no better way to confirm this then to built a unit and test it :-)
