Hi, I'm totally new at all this. I'm thinking about putting slotted floor-to-ceiling resonators in two (for sure, maybe more) corners of an almost square room, the dimensions of which aren't quite finalized yet, but it will be something like 12X10 with 7' ceiling and a cork-over-concrete floor. Yup, it's a basement. I was playing around with Porous Absorber Calculator 1.4 and I noticed that the 'absorber thickness' variable has a huge impact on LF vs. broadband absorption. My assumption here is that, given the room, these structures' bass absorption behavior is going to be more critical than broadband absorption, which can be dealt with in other ways. That said, it looks like I only need about an inch-thick absorbent panel inside the structure to control the bass, and also that maybe the absorber should be lining the back of the structure and not the front. Am I on the right track here? What's a good material to use inside the structure? Thanks a bunch! Mike
