Another idea for those with a small space
For those of us with limited space, I considered that we could make moveable timber walls to make the right splayed shape for the control room. This may be a matter of hinges or on tracks. This would then allow us to remove them when rehearsing and place back when needed.
My extension of the studio makes the room un symmetrical (sort of L shape) the splayed walls would then bring it back to a more “square” shape when needed.
I figure that MDF would bounce most frequencies to minimise first reflections and the non air tight areas would act as a quasi bass trap.
What do you reckon guys?

you could build some double-side slat resonator panels to add some treatment to the space as well as angled and it only takes about 8" off the walls...
