panels instead of rockwool or fiberglass(the same thickness)

i have 30 Sonex panels which i got 2 years ago and
i just mounted them on the wall (they are 50mm thick),it was good for mids and higts but i have a big problem with the bass.
after i read some matireal on the subject i understood i have to build bass traps and im glad i can use them for that.
i was told that the Sonex 50mm has Absorption Coefficient of
0.50 in the bass frequencies, do you know something about that?

What kind of Sonex panels? I've seen some of their charcoal foam show signs of disintegration over the course of a few years. (After a decade or so, it had turned completely to dust.)
So have I lovecow.
