I have a whole bunch of Resilient sound isolation clips (RSIC-1 EXT-04) left over from my ceiling installation. I am hanging 3 sheets of 5/8 drywall off of these puppies and they essentially de-couble your ceiling from the existing structure. They can also be used on walls for the same purpose. Specs below - PM me if you're interested. I think I have about 50 - 60.

Note that you'll have to follow the manufacturer's usage chart carefully so as to not overload the clips. Even if they can safely handle an overload, they'll bottom out and lose their effectiveness. The same is true of an underload, but in reverse.

Agreed. I followed the manufcturers layout map / spacing schedule to a tee! Don't want 3 layers of sheetrock coming down on my head mid rocking!
That's good. :-) I just wanted to reinforce the point that I'm sure the devices would fail to perform as isolators sooner than they'd collapse as suspenders.
Still got those clips? I'm retty sure I want them!!! How much do you want and where do you get the hat strip that goes with these?
Thanks
