Hi, I just joined today...:D I sure do hope you all can be of help. I am an aspiring voice over talent. I have a couple of contracts pending. My equipment is as follows: I have a Tascam interface US 122, it came with cubase LE; my mic is a Marshall MXL V57M with boom stand, shock mount; and currently I am usuing a PC...*sigh* until I can scrape up enough cash to get a Mac..:D Now my problem is that I am in the process of convertng a small spare bedroom. My question is: Are there any diagrams that I can study that could help me plan my studio?? I don't want to make the same mistakes that others have. I figure if I can learn from others mistakes, I will then be able to eventually help others myself. Also, maybe a list of materials...like should I use plywood and 2x4's?? Or is there better material. I am quite limited in my cash flow right now, as I have a disability...a spine problem...*ouch*. Anyway, I am just trying to really get started and eventually will probably in time convert my 2 1/2 car garage to a full blown studio, with floating floor etc.
So, can anyone help me??
Thanks in advance to all replies...:D
