Hello people, This is my first post here so excuse me if I'm in the wrong place. I am at the begining of putting a home studio together, I have been recording for a few years and I am presently using Pro Tools LE. As soon as I figure out how to up-load a sketch of my plan I shall. By the way, this is a great site. Question. What are the pros and cons if any of putting drums in an isolation booth to record if you already have a propper live room? I think the drums will sound better recorded in the live room. Any advice or tips will be most helpful. Thanks
yes they will probably sound better in the main room but they will spill into every other instrument's mikes - that's what iso means - isolate the instruments. cheers john
thankyou.
a simple solution seems to be to isolate the amps instead of the drums... i am finishing up some studio plans of my own, and plan on isolation closets for the guitar and bass amps...
