Hi, I'm about to build a temporary studio to record vocals (Rap). The problem is that I can't really change the room that much and the budget is very low. So the best solution would be to not separate the rooms and do both in one: vocals and controlling/mixing in the same room. So my questions are: Is it possible to get good results with something like that? What to do for acoustics/isolation? Where to place the furniture? Are there other possible solutions? My target is not to create a high professional studio, but get the best possible results. A simple plan of the room is attached, currently the walls have wallpaper on it and theres carpet on the floor. Thanks in advance

You can get good results recording vocals in your control room. Paul Rogers recorded many Bad Company vocals that way, with the speakers on and no headphones. Most people use headphones. You might try getting an SE Electronics Reflexion Filter or some acoustic treatment to deal with small room reflections.
