Exposed Brick?

Hello all. I'm new to the forum, I'm from Chicago, Illinois. My name is Wesley. I am a producer who is in the process of building out an old bank building (1903) as I can come up with the resources to do so. I am in the planning stages. Our building has very nice brick, and I couldn't find any posts about brick in the forum. How well would brick work for me in my control room? I am aware of some studios that have exposed brick, but I'm not sure if it would be in our best interests to repoint the wall or just prepare it to put some sheetrock over it. Isolation is not the biggest issue for us, as we have no "soundproofing" now and we only have an issue with our windows, which are single pane and VERY old. I intend to install glassblock to reduce the minimal ambient noise we do get. I've added a preliminary sketchup drawing so you can see what i am working with. The ceiling beams are at 12 ft., the room is (15' x 24') and I am going to put in a SSL 6040, and some Augsperger 2x15's in soffits in the room. Our machine room will be directly below in the basement. I have a good quality door with magnetic seal i want to put in that hallway, between the live room and the mix room. Thanks for all the help. Great Forum!
