Hi everyone -
This has been a long road to get to this point. I have moved from one part of the country to another and inbetween countless other related things to music and recording - I quickly started to convert a spare room here at the new homestead to be a make-shift production, composing suite and frankly, just a good room to be able to listen to things in and think about "mixes". So, some of that deteoriated into this thread:

and that is where I began ripping drywall and such and experimenting and taking some basic room readings and began working within the design confines of this initial room - which is more of the "control room". It lives on the 2nd floor and just above on the 3rd floor is the 800 sq ft. 15 foot high ceiling live room. That is going to be generally kept huge - with 2/3's or more dedicated to the live room, and the lessor 1/3 to be an isolated room, yet still will have the high ceilings.
Take a look at the above thread to see where the initial room started.
And see below to how I turned the room into something that is turning out to be pretty usable...
Thanks to everyone and their support along the last few years, this is the first of many things I am embarking on, so I felt compelled to grab photos as much of the thoughts come from this site (and some others from Rod's book, but mostly stuff here) and some of John's original ideas...
If its interesting or helpful I will post more. Comments or insights are obviously always welcomed.
Peace and best to you all -
David
