I'm thinking of building a frame by using corner bead. A 12ft long corner bead would give me a 2ft X 4ft rectangular frame. Two of these frames are riveted together at the corners by short (3" for HF, 6" for LF) pieces of corner bead, with Roxul's Safe'N'Sound sandwiched in-between. I could then pull a burlap cover over the whole thing.
Bad idea? I think David French has a short mention of corner bead, but there are no details in his post from 2006. Please advise, I've yet to build my first trap ;)

If you can get the frame to be somewhat solid and hold its shape, it will be fine. You don't need much in the way of structural support for these frames.
