Aloha and welcome to the forum! :D Congrats on your studio build! Any chance you could please:
Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
You'll probably get more of a response by doing so and this will really come in handy two or three posts down the road. It's also part of the forum guidelines. Thanks! Looking forward to your build! Aloha 8)
well that's done. looking foward to any ideas. i had a studio 80% complete in New Orleans before Katrina. I built the console and all. well i don't have to explain what happened to that thing lol..
Aloha, Hey, sorry to hear about the loss. Perhaps something like this for the new one? - front sidewall slat wall absorbers angled 6 - 12 degrees - front soffits angled 30 degrees - center section is wide enough for a 17" flatscreen monitor - rear side wall absorbers (cloth over 2" x 4" frame filled with insulation) Not shown - control room window/sliding door for viewing access as desired Hope this helps, Aloha 8)
ok following your dimensions this is what i have now. i guess newbies get no love lol... i think the reason the angle was bigger up top was because i turned them to the sweet spot. on this design i also shift where i started the side wall angles  i just notice it might be wrong i switch the side wall angles. maybe i should reverse the room

your front soffits are 60 and side angles 12 or am I missing something? i redid it with the original ones you gave me. i also notice the back wall angles are 20 and that peak around 22. i set mine at 6 since i didnt really know what to do with the back. i'll look at some of those sketchit files to see what they do.

ok here are my final plans. i did some reading and read that 12 is prefered, 6" is minimum for sidewall. so i compromised and now the side wall are on an 8 degree. the new layout work perfect when shooting the angles from the speakers. however, on the right wall i can either let the sound bounce off slats by just getting a sound proof door or just make the right side all glass. which is better? the glass would be great and eliminate that blind spot in the vox booth. i didn't add angles any angles to the vox but as it is right now in the biggest area i can get a 7' radial clearance so that's cool. tell me what you guys think.

if you're going with a single door it might be better isolation to have the smaller door. during tracking you can move around a bit to get the visibility you need. if less isolation is ok, you could put in a slider door.
thanx glen. well i could do a double sliding door that's not a problem. it's just a matter of me wanting to keep the slot.
ok i added the double sliders and lost about a foot or so. overall i like the design. i might rework that right vox booth wall for more space. that space will be a 1/2 bath so i probally can atcually do a little more on the design. if i do i'll just throw a camera with monitors in there. i will build a custom seating storage bench along the back wall.

here is my best choice i think. since i have more room in the booth. i think it will be called "Funky Butt Studios" since the bathroom is right there lol.. i will definitely add an airlock to that.

ok i did a little more basement investigating and it appears i can move that wall leading to bathroom. this works out great since i can also add a storage closet as well. now that's a booth i like
