going in to build my superchunk corner trap in the morning and i have one last question: when stacking the triangles in the corner, do i need to leave an air gap between the wall and the 703, or do i just push them flush against the wall? sorry if this info is somewhere else on the site, i just couldn't find anything on it. thanks, chris
Chris, That doesn't matter. They are originally tested flush against the wall but will work with a cavity as well. Eric
(Hai Eric, nice to see you here again) Might, pressing it flush against, the wool not also work as a demping material for the resonating walls?
Ro, :) Thanks. I doubt it will have any significant effect on real life build walls Eric .
Well, I was actually talking about a gypsum wall (e.g. room-in-room construction). When there's no acoustical difference, flush mounting saves precious space. Which is good :)

I assumed you were talking about a gypsum wall. :) To damp a solid brick wall you should need more than some wool. But I assume mounting them a bit from the corner will improve absorption somewhat, a bit comparable with using a larger one. Don't ask how much: depends, and your guess is as good as mine ......
Welcome back, Eric! We sure have missed you around here! 8) "Don't be a stranger!" --Keith
