I am constructing my studio now, and I'm in some kind of lack of ideas about furniture. I can't figure out what desk to buy. I will use a Mackie 24/8 analog mixer, event TR8 active monitors and some rack processors. now... Do you have some furniture plans that would fit my gear? Give me ideas of desks that looks good. Thank you!
Studio furtiture... any idea?

I found some interesting stuff in here, but the problem is i already have the mixer and the monitors, and the racks... so i have to figure it out how to build a desk to incorporate all of these things in it. Thanks for the replay!
I posted a basic console design a while back. its based on 4 sets of 19" sections. conceptually you could modify it to remove the center section ~39" which I think is big enough for your mixer. depending on if you want top level rack mounts or iso cabinets - modify the side units. if you take out the center though you'd want to add additional reinforcement in the front section and another under the mixer.
These are some good options for what i need and for how much space i have. it would be great if you had some plans, so i could build this kind of consoles...
Thanks again!
here's the sketchup files. I recommend disassembly of the drawing (its in groups) and lay it out w/ dimensions on a 4x8x15/32 (12mm) plywood. if you can create cardboard templates of each repeating piece its much easier. I've built the v17 but not the v19 so you may have to adjust v19 to meet your needs. the design uses middle atlantic brand rails (found cheapest on Amazon) but you can use whatever you need just plan on drilling the rail mount holes after you get the panels cut and have the rails in-hand. I used 1/4" x 1" #20 bolts with 9/16" washers and self-locking nuts. all assembly of the wood was glue and screw.
Spam...thanks for nothing...have you done with your studio? If no, I have some friend who can help you out. PM me if you want. thanks.
