Hey everyone. I'm a Music and Sound Recording student at the University of New Haven. I'm doing an independent study on Recording studio design and construction because they do not teach enough about it here. I've just discovered these forums, and I have seen a lot of studio plans you guys have posted. I'm just curious as to which programs you use to do plans like that? My final project will be designing a studio for the basement of my house, and having a computer program to do the floor plan would make my life so much easier. I'm a lousy drafter! :) Thanks for your patience with a person just learning, and thank you for any assistance.
PS - This site has been an absolute wealth of information for me, please keep up the good work.

I believe the programs of choice (in order) are:
1.) Sketchup (Check this link) http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6109
2.) Smartdraw
3.) Paint (In Microsoft Windows)
There may be others, but these are the ones I've seen most often.
