I recomend Rods book. I have read it 5 times in 3 days. However I did not find any information on how to attatch a wood frame to a concrete floor. So how are we suppose to attatch a wood wall to a concrete floor? Just shoot a nail?
Drill a hole a few inches deep. Insert a "Redhead" type anchor bolt through sole plate into slab and your done. Remember to use sill seal or other type of vapor barrier as well. I spaced my anchor bolts about 24" apart.

Hey Rod Is this better than using a "powder actuated nailer"? If so what is the benefit. Thanks!
