Long and narrow room...any suggestions??

Greetings everyone...what a great site...im glad i found it. Anyhow, I have an empty basement space of 23ft X 9.6ft. I need a control room and a singing/instrument room. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am prepared to spend upto about 7,000.00. Up until now I have been mixing and mastering at other studios. Time to get self sufficient! Thanks all. Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.

Louden’s formulas most widely used in professional studios worldwide. He also notes that the orders listed are (top to bottom) the first to third best ratios in both cases. L.W. Sepmeyer Height Width Length 1.00 1.14 1.39 - 7’7” x 8’6” x 10’5” 1.00 1.28 1.54 - 7’7” x 9’7” x 11’7” 1.00 1.60 2.33 M.M. Louden Height Width Length 1.00 1.40 1.90 1.00 1.30 1.90 - 7’7” x 9’8” x 14’4” 1.00 1.50 2.10 In your case, L.W. Sepmeyer's 2nd ratio is almost a perfect fit, so perhaps something like this for starters? Aloha 8)
