Aloha and welcome to the forum, João :D
Congrats on your studio build! Any chance you could please:
You'll probably get more of a response by doing so and this will really come in handy two or three posts down the road. It's also part of the forum guidelines. Thanks! http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7572 http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3231 Looking forward to your build! Aloha 8)Edit your profile to include your location. This is very important, because this is a worldwide resource, and as such, material costs and availability vary widely. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
Aloha,
Thanks for editing your profile.
Just for clarification, when you say "best sound proof" do you really mean "isolation from sounds getting in/out of the room" or do you mean "making the room sound better with acoustical treatments"? I and thanks for your help. What I mean is "isolation from sounds getting in/out of the room" Do you see the doc file with a draw of the space? Aloha,
Here's your drawing for ease of reference.

Hi João,
You have the benefit of a lot of overhead space... Although it will present some logistical challenges since that 12 meter high ceiling is so high.
We'd need a LOT more detailed information in order to provide specifics... In the meantime, here are some thoughts I have off the top of my head.
You may have so much space overhead that you might be able to get away with building (1) a room within (2) a room within (3) the huge room. Yes, technically that would be three leaves (or four, or more, depending on the ceiling construction detail of that 12 meter ceiling... But the HUGE gap you'd have between second and third leaf is so big that it's probably far enough away not to be subject to the dreaded third leaf effect. That would be a relief, since you'd not have to use a cherry picker to "beef up" that high ceiling.
Assuming you can afford the square footage, you could also have a generous gap between the two leaves you'd be building, which will pay off big time for you... I'm thinking about 0.75 meter would be great. You could literally walk between your leaves.
If you don't know what a leaf is, you'll beed to study the sticky threads in the Construction forum.
I hope that's a good start for you. Keep the information coming...

I sharward and kendale thanks for your help
This space is for reharsal bands and imagine that a have 120dB inside I can not have more than 45 dB outside in the road at 3m from de wall
Thanks for your time once again
how many bands do you think will be rehearsing?
do you plan on doing any recording work?
are there existing walls inside the building? can you move them? are they structural? it would be helpful to have photos and detailed measurements.
are the walls really 12 meters high? thats about a 3 story building... I think if you built your rooms to be 4 meters high you'd have plenty of space to treat to isolate anything going out or in overhead and still get some very nice acoustics.
In the begining one band in the time. Yes but not now. Yes.2,6meters No. Yes. Just the outside walls. The walls inside have 2,6 meters Thankshow many bands do you think will be rehearsing? do you plan on doing any recording work? are there existing walls inside the building? can you move them? are they structural? it would be helpful to have photos and detailed measurements. are the walls really 12 meters high? thats about a 3 story building... Aloha João,
Had to edit your pics size to eliminate scrolling. If you could keep them around 700 pixels wide, please, that would be great. Thanks

Do you think this pics help?
