An idea.----Would this work???

:idea: An idea.----Would this work??? I could use an old synthesizer and change the decay to near zero and use a basic sine wave then just click down the audible frequencies. I then could record it on a computer and view these recordings as wav files though any wav editor (on a standard computer) to see the decay time of different frequencies of the room. Would that work?? :? :?:
