Hi all. This is probbaly gonna sound like a pretty classic case.
I have a small studio in my basement 18x10. I tried doing a small amount of deadening in the performance room and I thought all the stuff I recorded had this terrible room sound on it, so I made all kinds of homemade baffles (as seen in the following pics) and now everything i record has this terrible lifeless sound. I thought close miced objects would not be affected by room sound all that much but it appears they are? Can anyone here point me in the right direction? ANy help would be much appreciated.... thanks
Help.... My room sounds terrible!!!

Aloha and welcome to the forum! :D
Congrats on your studio build! Any chance you could please:
You'll probably get more of a response by doing so and this will really come in handy two or three posts down the road. It's also part of the forum guidelines. Thanks! http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7572 http://www.johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3231 Any chance you could include a floorplan and some pics and of what you've got & done, etc? For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
Aloha,
Thanks for editing your profile.
So what do you have up in your studio? Some pics or hand drawings will help (700 pixels wide).
