I've two options for recording drums in my next session. I have two rooms in my house which I can use, but Im not sure which one to go for. Normally I use a room- recentangluar shape, high ceilings (20-25ft), completed carpeted- the room sounds pretty dark, and dead as far reverb. My other option- which I've never tried because its a living room- is a recentangular shaped room with wood flooring, 12-15ft tall ceilings, kinda long. Just wondering if you think the wood flooring and shorter ceilings will give a better sounding room?
Thanks for your help!

You'll probably get more of a response by doing so and this will really come in handy two or three posts down the road. It's also part of the forum guidelines. As noted, perhaps try a session in the living room. You may find you can use both, depending on what your project requires. Aloha 8)Edit your profile to include your location. For example, masonry is cheaper than gypsum in some parts of the globe, whereas it's the exact opposite in other regions.
