Hi, I'm currently setting up a small control room in my apt. I've done some reading and am aware of the bass trapping I'll need as well as the early reflections I'll have to deal with. I've already made some cloth-covered rockwool panels to straddle coners and to put on the ceiling and side walls. Basically I'm looking for input as to where to put my mix position in my room. On the attached picture I have a proposed way of setting up but I'm not sure if this way is optimal. The construction of the room is thick brick covered in plaster and the floor is hard wood. Because of wall thickness my neighbors will not be a problem. Thanks

Hi ferido - welcome to the forum. I think you have put the console in the best place for that room. I'd build traps across the corners either side of the console. Next I'd treat the rear wall behind the couch. I'd come off the wall 150mm - 200mm if possible to give more trapping in the rear. If possible deaden the surface of the door also. Try that out but I think you may need an absorption cloud over the top half of the room over your console. cheers john
Hi John, Thanks for the reply, I'll get setup, start treatment and let you know how I make out. Thanks again.
