Hello,
I have a little opening (74.4cmX56.5cm) between my control room and my track room and I was about to fit the glasses in.
I was wondering about what angle I should give to one of the two glass.
I have found a lot of thread where an angle of min 10° was advised but on what factor this depends. It look like I will not be able to give a lot of angle.
Is an angle of 5° worth the pain ?
Thanks
Alex

Why do you want to angle your windows ? I don't have any info on how the rest of the wall in wich you plan to put this window is built. But my guess is that you'll get better isolation by not angling them and placing them as far as you can from each other. Also what kind and thickness are they ? All of this is a moot point if you plan using 1/8 glasses or worst double thermal glasses in a single partition wall.
But if you still want to angle them, then a 6 degres angle should be considered a minimum. You'll get some control from early reflections from the windows and avoid visible "ghost" reflection between the windows At the expense of some isolation. One option would be to angle only one of the two window...food for toughts....
Yes, I should have been more precise.
The TR is about 4squarem.
The CR is 4 x 7m.

The tickness of the wall is around 42cm counting the wooden frame of 8cm thick on each side.
The glasses are 19mm and 16mm thick.
Placing them on each wooden frame would separate them from each other of about 26cm min.
I don't necessarily want to angle my windows, I wanted to do it to avoid direct reflections, but yes I agree I might loose on isolation.
Having said that, I will care when doing it even though I might not be able to use an angle > to 5°. And yes I wanted to angle only the one placed in the TR (the smallest room).
alexWell it seem you have things under control .Take your time when sealing the perimeter of those windows. What is the sheating on those double patition walls, i can't tell from the photos.
Keep it up
if 5degr is all you can do, that that's what you can do. work with what you got.
Angeled glass prevents visual reflections and has somewhat different frequency resonances between top and bottom of the window. (but with a window that small and low dedgr angled, it'll not make a big difference)
